Step 1: Check Eligibility

• Resident of India: You must be a resident of India to apply for an Aadhar card.
• Age Criteria: There is no age limit for applying for an Aadhar card, children and adults can apply.

Step 2: Gather the Required Documents

Documents for Aadhar Application:

• Proof of Identity (POI): Voter ID, Passport, PAN card, or any government-issued ID.
• Proof of Address (POA): Utility bill, bank statement, passport, or rental agreement.
• Proof of Date of Birth (DOB): Birth certificate, passport, or school leaving certificate.
• Mobile Number: A working mobile number for OTP verification.

Step 3: Book an Appointment

• Online Booking: Visit the official Aadhar website and book an appointment at your nearest Aadhar Enrollment Center.
• Walk-In Registration: You can also walk into any Aadhar Enrollment Center without an appointment, but booking an appointment ensures quicker processing.

Step 4: Visit the Aadhar Enrollment Center

Visit the Aadhar Enrollment Center with the following documents:

• Original Proofs for Verification
• Passport-size Photograph
• Printed Appointment Slip (if applicable)

At the center, your biometric data (fingerprints, iris scan, and photograph) will be captured.

Step 5: Aadhar Processing

Once your data is collected, your application will be processed. The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) will verify your details, and once successful, you will receive an Aadhar number.

Step 6: Track Your Aadhar Application

You can track your Aadhar application status online through the official UIDAI portal using your Aadhar enrollment ID.

Step 7: Receive Your Aadhar Card

Once processed, your Aadhar card will be mailed to the address you provided. You can also download an e-Aadhar from the UIDAI portal.
